James Sponable is a Real Estate specialist with 28 years of experience spanning the surveying, appraisal, and execution of real estate deals. While in the employ of the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) Jim had a distinguished tenure as Bureau Chief of the Real Property Bureau. While Bureau Chief Jim completed many difficult deals under tight timelines and set the standard for the NYS land acquisition process. In his first year as Bureau Chief the acquisitions completion rate rose 400%.
During his career, Jim won awards such as rookie of the year, he also gained commendation for managing high profile real estate deals. One of his most difficult was championing a desperately needed power transmission line through the complicated state bureaucracy to ensure New York Residents had the power their communities needed. To complete the deal he created and implemented a new easement process and got them approved by all relevant agencies in record time.
Aside from acquiring record amounts of deals, Jim revamped, modernized, and brought new technologies to dated processes and agreements, many of which are still in use today. Jim brings to the team negotiating skills honed in New York, a detail oriented approach to project management, experience in developing and streamlining processes and a wealth of experience working with government bureaucracy and high profile projects.
